OVERVIEW

Table of Contents


The Strategix Diploma of Nursing course will qualify you to seek registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as an Enrolled Nurse. Upon successful registration, you can work as an Enrolled Nurse providing nursing care for people across the healthcare continuum and at all stages of life.

Details

Study Mode: Full-time (4 days/week), face-to-face

Duration: 18 months, 3 semesters

Location: Strategix’s Spring Hill campus

Delivery Mode:

  • On-campus, face-to-face theory and skills classes (3 days/week)

  • Simulation labs and practice (1 day/week)

  • Professional experience placement: Five days over three to four weeks at the end of Semesters 1, 2 and 3

  • Self-directed learning at home. 

Fees:

  • Domestic Students: $23,950

  • International Students:

    • Tuition Fee: $25,500

    • Enrolment Fee: $500 (non-refundable)

    • Materials: $1,330

Additional Costs:

As part of your enrolment you will be required, or may need to purchase:

  • Two (2) Strategix uniform shirts (approximately $80 per shirt)

  • Textbooks and digital library - see Diploma of Nursing Textbook List

  • Any vaccinations and regulatory checks you may require.

Course Entry Requirements

  • Be 18 years old or older

  • Have successfully completed an LLN (Language, Literacy and Numeracy) test at or above exit level 3 of the ACSF. International students must provide evidence prior to enrolment that they have achieved (results must be achieved in one test sitting):

    • A minimum band score of 7 in academic IELTS (with no individual band score less than 7.0) OR

    • 65 in PTE academic (with no communicative score less than 65 in each skill i.e. listening, reading, writing and speaking) OR

    • 237 in TOEFL.

  • National Police Clearance

  • Relevant Working with Children Check

  • NDIS check

  • Immunisation records, including Hep B, Diphtheria, Tetanus, Polio, Meningococcal, Varicella (Chicken Pox), MMR (measles, mumps, rubella), Pertussis (whooping cough), seasonal influenza and COVID-19

  • Access to and ability to operate suitable devices and the internet to complete both training and assessment activities

  • Appropriate knowledge to navigate software and program requirements.
