You may be eligible for Fee Free training if you meet all of the following criteria:

  • Undertaking a CHC32015 Certificate III in Community Services, and

  • Live or work in South Australia, and are:

    • An Australian or New Zealand citizen

    • A permanent Australian resident OR

    • An eligible visa holder (See Eligible visas).

  • Identify from one or more of the following groups:

    • Young people (17-24 years) and not enrolled in school

    • Unemployed or at risk of unemployment

    • People with disability.

Note: Limited spaces are available for enrolments up until 31 December 2023 or until allocated places are exhausted, whichever comefirst.

Accessible Courses

No qualification or unemployed and registered with an Employment Services Provider

  • One certificate II course

  • Two courses from certificate III to advanced diploma level

  • Access to foundation skills courses or up to five fee-free bridging units of competency for those assessed to need them

  • Access to up to five vocational bridging units of competency for those assessed to need them.

Qualification up to certificate II level

  • Two courses from certificate III to advanced diploma level

  • Access to foundation skills courses as required

  • Up to five fee-free bridging units of competency for those assessed to need them

  • Up to five vocational bridging units of competency for those assessed to need them.

Completed a certificate III or above (including university qualifications)

  • One course from certificate III to advanced diploma level

  • Access to foundation skills courses as required

  • Up to five fee-free foundation skills bridging units of competency for those assessed to need them

  • Up to five vocational bridging units of competency for those assessed to need them.

You can enrol in a maximum of two subsidised courses at a time.

Courses completed before the 1st October 2015 do not count towards the number of courses for which a participant is entitled to receive subsidised training; but will count towards holding a qualification. If you have completed courses from 1 October 2015 onwards, it may affect your eligibility. For more information, call the Infoline on 1800 673 097.

Evidence of Change of Name

The following documents must be presented to record a change of name:

  • Full evidence of identity in the current or former name (or an Australian driver's licence or a South Australian proof of age card issued after 9 October 2006).

AND one of the following:

  • Birth certificate with an endorsement from an Australian registrar of births, deaths and marriages (BDM)

  • Marriage certificate issued by an Australian BDM (commemorative certificates issued by a religious leader or celebrant are not acceptable)

  • Change of name certificate issued by an Australian BDM

  • Deed poll certificate (previously issued by Lands Title Registration Office).
