Progression Plan
The purpose of this Intervention Progression Plan is to assist and support students to fulfil their academic and clinical responsibilities within the Diploma of Nursing. It is to be engaged commenced when a student has been identified as not achieving the desired outcomes of a unit of competency or when the assessor/supervisor deems them to be at risk of failure or not achieving the learning objectives of practice during the placement, including the course. This includes not meeting the NMBA Standards for Enrolled Nurses. Intervention
Progression on Placement (PEP) Guidelines

Students identified as having attendance issues, at-risk behaviour or not making satisfactory progress with the placement part of in the course will be contacted immediately and counselled by their trainer. An Intervention Plan will be completed to document the conversation and any corrective actions to be taken Students deemed to be at risk of not achieving the learning objectivesassessor and a Progression Plan may be commenced
A Progression Plan includes:
Corrective actions are : to be completed by the student within a set time frame, usually between two and five PEP days
Failure to achieve the corrective actions will result in the student failing the PEP component of the course and the student will be removed from placement
Further support will then be Further support: provided to the student , and they can be before re-assessed assessment to ensure that their area of incompetency is rectified. If so, they will be given another further opportunity to complete their placement; if not, they will be terminated from the courseassessment/placement
Failure to achieve the corrective actions will result in either further supportive action or lead to cancellation of enrolment.
Students demonstrating unsafe work practice practices will be immediately be removed from the placement venue. The workplace assessor will notify the Head of Discipline/Clinical Placement Coordinator immediately.
