User Choice (QLD) - Terms and Conditions

1          Eligibility for User Choice funding

A trainee may be eligible for User Choice funding that is provided by the state, eligibility may be met when they are:

  • Enrolled into a priority 1, 2 or 3 classified qualification

  • Registered with the Australian Apprenticeship Support Network (AASN).

A maximum of two government contributions will be funded per participant under the User Choice 2021-23 program. Funding is subject to approval.

2          User Choice Traineeship Payments

Invoices for students will be generated and sent to the Client after student/s is approved for funding. The payment amount is the compulsory Student Contribution Fees.

Travel

Refer to section 7.4 of the Service Agreement for travel expenses.

3          User Choice Traineeship Cancellation

Strategix must be notified of all cancellations using the QLD cancellation form. The cancellation date is the date the trainee ceased employment with the company. In the event of a cancellation, a full refund of the fees will be given if the trainee withdraws before training commences.

In the event of cancellation after training has commenced, a pro-rata refund will be issued, based on the number of completed units.

The Free apprenticeships for under 25s initiative will cover the cost of training for Queensland apprentices or trainees who commence or are undertaking one of the Priority Apprenticeship and Traineeship Qualifications* from 1 January 2021 to 30 September 2022.
