NATIONAL - Federal Funding and Claims Fact Sheet


As an employer of an Australian Apprentice, you may be eligible for financial assistance from the Australian Government to help with hiring and training an apprentice. Incentives may be available for existing workers if they are working in an area of national skill need. Incentives are available for all new entrants.

Strategix will provide direction and support for the completion of all documentation and other paperwork for students enrolled in a National Traineeship.

Commencement Claim

The Client will receive commencement claim forms from the Australian Apprenticeship Support Network at the 6 months mark. These forms need to be completed and sent back to the Australian Apprenticeship Support Network for commencement claims to be processed.

The Client agrees to complete all commencement claim forms for new entrant workers within 9 months from signup date, including obtaining signatures from the Client representative and from each trainee.

Completion Claim

The Client agrees to complete all completion claim forms within 2 months from the completion date. This includes signatures from the company representative and from each trainee (or providing a copy of a recent payslip).

Claim Form Submission

Where claim forms are not completed and submitted to the Australian Apprenticeship Support Network within the designated time frame listed above, the Client is liable to pay for all invoices issued by Strategix within 10 working days (Where the claim form has been issued by the Australian Apprenticeship Support Network). This clause will only be enforced where cooperation is not forthcoming from the Client and after written notice is given.

Australian Apprenticeship Support Network

Australian Apprenticeship Support Network is contracted by the Australian Government to deliver Australian Apprenticeships Support Services, which includes providing:

  • Information and assistance to employers, Australian Apprentices and interested people

  • Marketing and promoting Australian Apprenticeships

  • Administering the Australian Apprenticeships Incentives Program.

Australian Apprenticeship Support Network provides a free service to employers and Australian Apprentices.

Definitions

Existing Worker - An Existing worker is an employee who is enrolled in a nationally recognised course of study after three months of employment.

New Entrant - A New Entrant is an employee who is enrolled in a nationally recognised within three months of commencement of full-time employment or within 12 months of commencement of Permanent Part-time employment.
