Funding Details

Strategix Training Group is an approved supplier for courses offered on the Subsidised Training List, and can access funding to assist students in completing courses. The funding is offered by the South Australian Government.

In this document, you will be provided with all relevant details and information about the course/s and the funding that may apply to those who are eligible and approved. You will receive both a tentative enrolment email and a confirmation of enrolment email that will provide you with the specific times, locations and requirements for your enrolment.

Eligibility

Training Priority Projects: Fee Free TAFE - Tranche 2 First Nations

You may be eligible for Fee Free training if you meet all of the following criteria:

  • Identify as a First Nations person

  • Must be a new student to the course (does not need to be new to the training provider)

  • Reside or work in South Australia

and

  • Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen; or

  • Be a permanent Australian residents; or

  • Hold a State sponsored visa on a pathway to permanent residency; or

  • Hold a humanitarian temporary visa of a class specified by the Minister from time to time; and

  • An eligible visa holder (See Eligible visas).

  • Be aged 16 years or over, not enrolled in school.

  • Must be enrolled and have training accounts created before 31st March 2025 in any of the qualifications below:

    • CHC40421 - Certificate IV in Youth Work

    • CHC33021 - Certificate lll in Individual Support

    • CHC30121 Certificate lll in Early Childhood Education and Care

    • CHCSS00130 - Individual Support - Disability Skill Set

    • FBP30121 - Certificate lll in Food Processing

    • CHC32015 - Certificate lll in Community Services

Cert III in Community Services

16 Weeks

40 hours

Students are required to obtain the site-specific clearances to participate in Vocational Placement and work in the industry, this may include:

  • Police check

  • DCSI background check

May include but is not limited to:

  • Display non-judgmental, inclusive behaviour

  • Maintain accurate records and case notes

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and clients

  • Show initiative and problem-solving in support roles

Workers in this industry are often required to do the following tasks:

  • Walking and moving between community locations or homes

  • Supporting clients with mobility or access needs

  • Lifting or transporting equipment (e.g., wheelchairs, activity kits)

  • Standing during group facilitation or outreach work

  • Repetitive documentation or computer tasks (e.g., case notes)

CHC30121

Cert III in Early Childhood Education and Care

24 weeks

160 hours

Students are required to obtain the following clearances to participate in Vocational Placement and work in the industry:

  • Police check (site specific)

  • First Aid Certificate

  • DCSI background check for Working with Children

  • RRHAN-EC Training

May include but is not limited to:

  • Interact positively and respectfully with children

  • Communicate effectively with families and team members

  • Support routines and follow centre policies

  • Maintain hygiene and safety in play areas

To work in the industry, requires the following physical activities:

  • Lifting and carrying infants or toddlers

  • Bending, squatting, and sitting on the floor with children

  • Assisting children with toileting and hygiene routines

  • Standing for extended periods during supervision or activities

  • Setting up and packing away play equipment and furniture

CHC33021

Cert III in Individual Support

20 Weeks

120 hours

Students require nationally coordinated police check to complete Individual Support. Students are not required to pay the fee for the check. Other requirements to participate in Vocational Placement and work in the industry may include:

  • Flu Vaccine

  • NDIS Screening check

  • DCSI background check

May include but is not limited to:

  • Show empathy and patience with clients

  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism

  • Follow care plans and safety procedures

  • Be reliable and punctual for shifts

To work in the industry, requires the following physical activities:

  • lift and carry heavy weight

  • Push and pull trolleys

  • Squat and kneel

  • Repetitive movements

  • Long hours of standing and walking

CHCSS00130

Individual Support - Disability Skill Set

20 Weeks**

Task based

Students require nationally coordinated police check to complete Individual Support. Students are not required to pay the fee for the check. Other requirements to participate in Vocational Placement and work in the industry may include:

  • DCSI background check

May include but is not limited to:

Cert III in Food Processing

10 Weeks

Not required

Employment in this industry may require:

  • High Vis clothing and PPE such as steel cap boots, gloves, vest, hair net etc.. Some workplaces will supply these for you

  • Physical fitness test

  • Drug and alcohol testing

May include but is not limited to:

  • Follow food safety and hygiene standards

  • Work efficiently in repetitive tasks

  • Be dependable with time and attendance

  • Accept and apply feedback quickly

A role working in this industry may include the following physical activities:

  • Standing for long periods on production lines

  • Repetitive manual handling and machine operation

  • Lifting bags or containers of ingredients or products

  • Operating and cleaning food processing equipment

  • Working in cold, hot, or noisy environments

TLI30321

Certificate III in Supply Chain Operations

12 Months (Workplace only)

Not required

Employment in this industry may require:

  • High Vis clothing and PPE such as steel cap boots, gloves, vest, hair net etc.. Some workplaces will supply these for you

  • Physical fitness test

  • Drug and alcohol testing

May include but is not limited to:

  • Follow safety rules and manual handling protocols

  • Work efficiently in fast-paced environments

  • Be team-oriented and proactive

  • Maintain accuracy in picking, packing, or stock handling

Workers within the supply chain often perform these types of physical activities:

  • Lifting, carrying, and stacking stock and packages

  • Operating manual or powered handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks)

Standing and walking on concrete warehouse floors

  • Performing repetitive tasks such as packing or scanning

  • Working in varied environments (hot, cold, outdoor)

BSB30120

Certificate III in Business

12 Months (Online / Workplace-online only)

Not required

Must have access to internet, a workstation o laptop capable of using the Microsoft suite

May include but is not limited to:

  • Present professionally and communicate clearly

  • Complete tasks accurately and meet deadlines

  • Use Microsoft Office or business software confidently

  • Follow instructions and workplace procedures

Cert III Business graduates often are in employment that involves the following:

  • Sitting for extended periods (e.g., desk-based work)

  • Keyboarding and data entry (repetitive hand/wrist movement)

  • Lifting and filing documents or office supplies

  • Operating standard office equipment (e.g., printers, binders)

  • Moving between departments or reception areas

CHC40421

Certificate IV in Youth Work

20 Weeks

Task based

Students are required to obtain the site-specific clearances to participate in Vocational Placement and work in the industry, this may include:

  • Police check

  • DCSI background check for Working with Children

May include but is not limited to:

  • Build rapport and trust with young people

  • Manage challenging behaviours calmly

  • Uphold professional boundaries and ethics

  • Communicate effectively in group or one-on-one settings

Youth workers often have to carry out physical tasks including:

  • Supervising and participating in active youth engagement activities

  • Standing and walking during outreach and events

  • Driving or accompanying youth during transport

  • Setting up physical spaces for programs or workshops

  • Managing behavioural incidents, which may involve physical presence or intervention

CHC52015

Diploma of Community Services

12 Months

(Online only)

100 hours

Students are required to obtain the site-specific clearances to participate in Vocational Placement and work in the industry, this may include:

  • Police check

  • DCSI background check

May include but is not limited to:

  • Manage complex client needs with professionalism

  • Advocate for client rights and access to services

  • Collaborate effectively with external agencies

  • Maintain resilience and emotional regulation

Physical activities for diploma graduate workers in this industry often includes:

  • Visiting and supporting clients in various community settings

  • Facilitating physical group activities (e.g., events or workshops)

  • Moving between multiple service locations

  • Carrying files, kits, or promotional materials for community outreach

  • Prolonged computer work for complex case management

CHC50121

Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care

12 Months

(Online only)

280 hours

Students are required to obtain the following clearances to participate in Vocational Placement and work in the industry:

  • Police check (site specific)

  • First Aid Certificate

  • DCSI background check for Working with Children

  • RRHAN-EC Training

Must have previously completed the Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (CHC30113 or CHC30121)

May include but is not limited to:

  • Lead and mentor team members professionally

  • Plan and implement engaging learning experiences

  • Ensure compliance with regulations and frameworks

  • Manage time and multitask under pressure

Diploma graduate workers often have to undertake the following activities:

  • All Cert III ECEC tasks, with added leadership responsibilities

  • Frequent movement between rooms or outdoor areas

  • Manual handling of children and heavier resources

  • Standing and walking during staff supervision and mentoring

  • Physically demonstrating or guiding activities for others

HLT33115

Certificate III in Health Services Assistance

15 weeks

30 hours

Students may require the following:

  • Police check

  • Vaccination evidence

  • Working with children check

  • First aid certificate

  • Manual handling training (included in the course)

May include but is not limited to:

  • Assist patients respectfully and professionally

  • Follow directions from nurses and clinical staff

  • Work calmly in busy or high-pressure environments

  • Maintain hygiene and infection control standards

Workers often perform these types of activities:

  • Lifting and transferring patients, often with the aid of lifting equipment

  • Assisting with patient mobility (e.g., helping patients walk or move in and out of bed)

  • Repetitive tasks such as monitoring and recording patient vitals

  • Long periods of standing or walking during shifts (e.g., assisting in wards, clinics, or during patient transport)

  • Bending, kneeling, or reaching to provide care or assist with equipment cleaning

*Students are afforded additional time and opportunities where required (assessed on a case-by-case basis).
