Student Progression Plan

The purpose of this Progression Plan is to assist and support students to fulfil their academic responsibilities as a student of Strategix Training Group. It is to be engaged when a student has been identified as not achieving the desired outcomes of a unit of competency or when the assessor/supervisor deems them to be at risk of failure or not achieving the learning objectives of practice during vocational placement.

Guidelines for Vocational Placement Progress:

  • Students identified as having attendance issues, at risk behaviour or not making satisfactory progress with the placement part of the course will be contacted immediately and counselled by their trainer. A Progression Plan will be completed to document the conversation and any corrective actions to be taken

  • Students deemed to be at risk of not achieving the learning objectives:

    • Corrective actions are to be completed by the student within a set time frame. Failure to achieve the corrective actions will result in the student failing the Vocational Placement component of the course and the student will be removed from placement

    • Further support will then be provided to the student, and they can be re-assessed to ensure that their area of incompetency is rectified. If so, they will be given another opportunity to complete their placement; if not, they will be terminated from the course.

  • Students demonstrating unsafe work practice will immediately be removed from the placement venue. The trainer will notify the Academy or College Manager immediately.

A completed copy of this Progression Plan must be given to the Manager and the student.
